GM-015730 is a water-based, two-component cross-linking fluorocarbon topcoat developed by Dalian Gomin Special Coating Co., Ltd. Using water as the diluent instead of organic solvents, this coating dramatically reduces VOC emissions while retaining all the legendary durability of fluorocarbon (FEVE) chemistry. The main component is formulated from premium specialty monomers, emulsion synthesized through proprietary processes, and high-efficiency additives; it is mixed with a dedicated water-based FEVE curing agent at a base-to-curing-agent ratio of 5:1 (with water added as needed) to form a dense, tightly cross-linked fluorocarbon film.

Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation

  • Substrates must be clean, dry and free of oil, grease, loose rust, dust and other contaminants.
  • Ferrous substrates should be abrasive-blasted or power-tool cleaned to the specified surface preparation grade before priming.
  • Concrete and calcium silicate surfaces must be cured, dry (moisture content below the recommended level) and primed with a compatible water-based sealer/primer before topcoating.

Mixing & Application Procedure

  1. Stir Part A (base) thoroughly before use to ensure homogeneous dispersion of the emulsion and additives.
  2. Add Part B (curing agent) at a ratio of 5:1 by weight, adding clean water gradually as required to reach the spraying viscosity.
  3. Mix the combined material uniformly and allow it to stand briefly before application; filter if necessary.
  4. Apply by airless spray, conventional spray, brush or roller in uniform, wet coats. Avoid over-thinning and excessive film thickness in a single pass.
  5. Allow proper flash-off and recoat intervals between coats as recommended, and complete the work while the mixed material is within its 4-hour pot life (at 25°C).
Handling note: The mixed material must be used within 4 hours at 25°C. Once opened, reseal containers promptly — especially the curing agent — to prevent moisture ingress and premature gelling. Waste paint and wash water must be disposed of through licensed waste treatment facilities.

Safety Precautions

  • Applicators must wear respirators, gloves and protective clothing; avoid skin and eye contact.
  • If the coating contacts skin, wash immediately with water or a suitable cleanser.
  • Do not swallow. If the product enters the eyes, flush with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention immediately.
  • Comply with all applicable occupational health and safety regulations at the job site.
