CORE ADVANTAGES
01 UNRIVALLED LONG-TERM WEATHERABILITY
GOMIN COATING's fluorocarbon paint is formulated with Kynar 500® PVDF resin — the industry benchmark for architectural durability. Colour fade is controlled to ΔE ≤ 3 (ASTM D2244) over 30 years of real-world exposure. No fading, chalking, or gloss loss in extreme climates from the tropics to sub-zero environments.
02 MAXIMUM UV & CORROSION PROTECTION
The C–F bond in PVDF resin is one of the strongest in polymer chemistry, making it virtually impervious to UV radiation, acid rain, ozone, and industrial pollutants. Salt-spray resistance exceeds 4,000 hours — proven performance for coastal high-rises, offshore structures, and heavy-industry facades.
03 GLOBAL CERTIFICATION — AAMA 2605 & QUALICOAT
GOMIN COATING fluorocarbon paints hold AAMA 2605 (highest architectural performance standard in North America), QUALICOAT Class 2 & Class 3 (Europe), and GB/T 23123 (China). These certifications are your guarantee of consistent, independently tested quality on every batch.
04 PRECISION COLOUR MATCHING & EXTENSIVE GLOSS RANGE
Available in any RAL, NCS or Pantone colour with ΔE ≤ 1.0 matching accuracy. Gloss levels range from 10% (ultra-matte) to 90% (high gloss), with metallic, pearlescent, and textured finishes available. Batch-to-batch colour consistency controlled by spectrophotometer in our QC laboratory.
05 FACTORY DIRECT — COMPETITIVE PRICING & FAST LEAD TIMES
GOMIN COATING owns our fluorocarbon resin compounding, pigment dispersion and coating formulation lines — eliminating middlemen and enabling competitive pricing, custom formulations in 10–15 working days, and bulk supply with no compromise on quality.

HOW TO APPLY CORRECTLY
Manufacturing / Coil Coating Application (PVDF)
STEP 01 Surface Pre-Treatment: — Degrease, chromate or chrome-free pre-treatment (Bonderite, Oxsilan), rinse and oven-dry the aluminium or steel substrate to achieve a contamination-free, activated surface.
STEP 02 Primer Application: — Apply GC epoxy or polyester primer at 5–8 μm DFT via roller coater. Cure at 220–230°C PMT. Ensures adhesion and corrosion-barrier performance.
STEP 03 PVDF Topcoat Application: — Apply GC-PVDF 70 or GC-PVDF 50 fluorocarbon topcoat at 20–25 μm DFT via roller coater. Cure at 240–250°C peak metal temperature (PMT). Inspect film thickness and appearance 100%.
STEP 04 Optional Clearcoat: — For metallic or anodised finishes, apply GC-FEVE Clear at 8–12 μm DFT. Bake at 220°C PMT or allow ambient cure for FEVE systems.
STEP 05 Quality Inspection: — Conduct cross-cut adhesion, pencil hardness, gloss measurement and visual defect inspection before coil rewind. Issue QC report per batch.
On-Site / Field Application (FEVE)
STEP 01 Surface Preparation: — Abrasive blast to Sa 2.5 (ISO 8501-1) or mechanical grind to St 3. Remove all mill scale, rust and contaminants. Ensure surface profile 40–70 μm (Rz).
STEP 02 Primer: — Apply two-pack epoxy zinc-rich primer (80 μm DFT) or zinc phosphate epoxy primer (50 μm DFT). Allow full cure before topcoat.
STEP 03 FEVE Topcoat: — Mix GC-FEVE 100 two-pack system thoroughly at specified ratio; apply by airless spray or HVLP at 40–50 μm DFT per coat. Two coats recommended for full performance.
STEP 04 Curing & Inspection: — Allow minimum 24 hours ambient cure before light use; 7 days full cure. Test adhesion (pull-off ≥ 5 MPa), DFT and gloss. Issue inspection report.
Storage & Handling of Paint
→Store in sealed containers at 5–35°C in a dry, ventilated warehouse away from direct sunlight
→Shelf life: 12 months from manufacture date in original unopened containers
→Stir or agitate thoroughly before use — do not dilute beyond the recommended thinning range
→For 2K (two-pack) systems: mix only the quantity required for immediate use within pot life
→Dispose of empty containers and waste material in accordance with local environmental regulations

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED
What is fluorocarbon paint and why is it superior to conventional paints?
Fluorocarbon paint (PVDF or FEVE) utilises C–F bonds — among the strongest bonds in organic chemistry — to deliver unmatched UV resistance, colour stability and weatherability over 30+ years. Conventional polyester or polyurethane paints typically require repainting within 5–10 years; GOMIN COATING fluorocarbon dramatically extends that cycle, reducing whole-life maintenance cost.
What is the difference between PVDF and FEVE fluorocarbon coatings?
PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride, e.g. Kynar 500®) requires high-temperature baking (220–250°C) and is used in factory coil-coating and spray-applied architectural systems. FEVE (Fluoroethylene Vinyl Ether) cures at ambient temperature or mild bake, making it ideal for field application, maintenance repainting and wood/steel substrates where oven-baking is not possible. Both systems deliver equivalent weatherability.
Does GOMIN COATING's fluorocarbon paint comply with AAMA 2605?
Yes. Our GC-PVDF 70 (70% Kynar 500® PVDF) and GC-FEVE 100 products both hold AAMA 2605 certification — the highest performance category for liquid applied architectural coatings. Third-party test certificates are available upon request.
